Crestone Peak Resources is a Denver-based oil and gas operator focused on the Wattenberg Field within the Denver-Julesburg Basin (DJ Basin). We are the fifth-largest producer in the DJ Basin with 51,000 net acres well-positioned to deliver a sustained, positive return.
Crestone targets the Niobrara and Codell formations and has drilled more than 2,000 wells, along with an undrilled inventory of close to 1,000 wells. During the first half of 2015, these assets produced an average of 52 million cubic feet per day of natural gas and 14,800 barrels per day of crude oil and natural gas liquids.
Crestone was formed in July 2016 with the completed purchase of Encana’s DJ Basin assets by the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and The Broe Group. Crestone has offices in Denver and Firestone, and has a community office in Erie.
Our team of more than 120 Colorado energy professionals offers a significant advantage, in that all have experience deeply rooted in DJ Basin operations. The company’s focus is operating in the most efficient, safe and environmentally responsible way possible.
Building Lasting Relationships
Crestone Peak Resources is committed to realizing value from our DJ Basin assets in the most efficient, safe and environmentally responsible way possible.
Our people are our greatest asset, and empowering them to do their best work is pivotal to our success.
We deliver on our promise to operate in a way that is transparent and respectful of nearby communities. We believe in an open, two-way dialogue in which we provide clear information, listen to feedback and are accountable for our actions.
We’re proud of the work we do and equally proud to call Colorado home. The oil and gas industry is pivotal to our state’s economy, so we must do our part as a responsible operator.
